Argentina Rivers

The Quillén River begins at Quillén Lake in the Andes, flowing east for 15 miles and joining the Aluminé. The waters are slow, making it ideal for dry flies. Here you'll find lots of mid-weight rainbow trout and the occasional brown, with the catches averaging 2 to 5 lbs.

Malalco Spring Creek is a challenging spring creek tributary to the Quillén.

  • Season: Very good December and January; good February through April
