Float trips on the Collon Cura (lower Aluminé and past the confluence with the Chimehuin) are usually a day trip on the upper float with a stay in San Martin, or a series of day floats on the lower, private section of the Collon Cura with a stay at Estancia Collon Cura, owned by Ted Turner.
Estancia Collon Cura provides deluxe accommodations, easy access to four separate floats on the river, shuttle service and lots of free advice. Floats are usually planned so that at the end of a day's float, the boat is left on the bank to begin there the next day.
The Collon Cura is a large river that must be floated, as there is no other access. It is very wadeable; at least half of your day can be spent wade-fishing. Various times have special situations when the fishing will exceed your wildest dreams.
